Service Quality Dimensions of Retailing - A Study on Retail Chain Stores in Chittagong

Service quality is a critical component of customer perceptions about the service. The performance and quality parameters of any service are dependent on customer expectations and how efficiently and satisfactorily the service firm is able to serve its customers. This study employs the SERVQUAL method to study service quality aspects of retail stores in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The traditional quality dimensions for assessing the service quality have been modified to assess the customers’ service needs and satisfaction in the retail sector. The results showed that a high positive correlation existed between various service dimensions, and that customers’ evaluation of service quality was more or less similar across different age groups. This study aims at identifying components of retail service quality in retail chain store in Chittagong. A survey of 412 shoppers in various retail chain store in Chittagong has resulted that service quality of retain chain store composes of 5 dominant factors namely Tangibility, Reliability, Assurance, Responsiveness and Empathy. Islamic Business Practices in Bangladesh –a Survey on Some Selected Firms in Chittagong

In Bangladesh, contemporary business practices are fraught with lot of undesirable and un-Islamic business practices like bribery, corruption, falsehood, underweighing, frauds, adulteration etc. But, Bangladesh being a Muslim majority country this should not be the practices here. The demand of Islam is such a business environment which is immune from such malpractices.  These malpractices created a lot of issues in the business world and society in Bangladesh which are in no way desirable by the government and society. So there are lot of issues which need to be studied carefully, as for example; Why the scenarios are as such? Why a Muslim majority country like Bangladesh’s business world is not transparent and clean? Therefore, in order to uncover and identify the clue to the crux of these problems an empirical study is conducted on some selected business firms in Chittagong.The major finding of the study is that Islamic business is practiced partially by most of the businessmen because of many reasons such as lack of knowledge about IB, lack of knowledge about the benefits of IB, lack of Islamic environment, and lack of policy support. But most of the business people think that the practices of IB will ensure welfare society by eliminating bribery, corruption, falsehood, under weighing, frauds, and adulteration which will protect the interest of the producers, traders, consumers and all stakeholders. Deep Learning to Aid Prescription Processing & Inventory Management for Local Pharmacies through Smartphone Application

One of the most common types of medical errors is medication errors and also considered one of the most preventable errors. Most of the prescriptions that are provided by doctors are still handwritten. Mistakes can occur very easily in handwritten prescriptions as well as the possibility of the pharmacist finding the handwriting illegible which can lead to the consumption of incorrect drugs and doses in patients. Usage of digital prescriptions or also known as e-prescription can reduce medication errors dramatically. First of all, it omits the possibility of illegible handwriting. Thus, the pharmacists can provide the correct medicine and doses to the patients.This study is conducted to show how Deep Learning can hugely contribute to providing a solution for medication errors and how it can create a marketplace for pharmacies that uses this advanced technology that directly connects the local pharmacy stores, diagnostic centers, and hospitals to fulfill patient’s extensive medical needs
